Patient Viewer

The patient viewer is the central element for inspecting or editing patient data. It may be integrated into other forms with some of the functionality hidden or other functionality virtually added.

The data are displayed in a tree view element. The upper level is formed by the patient data proper. Next level are his / her investigations. Below each investigation follow the karyotypes.

A "+" at the beginning of a line means that the data for the next level are already loaded. Click on that symbol to make them visible. Click on "-" to hide them.

If the data were not yet loaded, double click on the patient. The investigation data will be loaded and displayed. Double click on the investigation to load karyotype data.

When you want to hide all investigation and karyotype data, use the "Collaps All" button. All investigation and karyotype data which are already loaded can be displayed with the "Expand All" button.

If data were taken from the Mitelman database, additional information on the case can be retrieved from that data base. Click on "Reference" to point your default web browser (Netscape, FireFox, Opera, MS Internet Explorer or other) to the respective reference in the Mitelman db.

If the Patient Viewer is in Edit mode, click on "Edit" to edit the presently selected element. Depending on the type of item selected, the form for editing patient data, investigation data or karyotype data will be displayed.
